Hope 2011 Will Be Best Year Ever

Hello Everyone,

I hope everyone had a great Christmas.
Wanted to wish you and your family a
Happy New Year.

This has been a rough year for me, but
I am blessed, because I am still here,
live and kicking.

I was operated on back on Oct. 6, 2009
for lung cancer. The cancer came out of
my bone just below my right knee on the
back side of my leg. The doctors operated
and removed the cancer. They said that it
came from my right lung.

After the operation I started taking radiation
treatments on my right leg where the cancer
had been removed from my leg.

Just before I finished the radiation treatment,
my radiation doctor told me of a new high power
radiation treatment that they had been using
for about two years and asked me if I was willing
to have this high power radiation treatment. They
said that if I took this treatment, chances are they
would not have to operate on my right lung.

I asked what was the percentage of it killing the
cancer or stopping it from spreading. The doctor
told me that they had a 95% chance of stopping
the cancer from spreading and might even kill the
cancer cells in my lung.

I didn't have to think about this, but just a minute
or so. I looked at this as a God sent for me not to
have to be operated on again. So I decided to take
the strong radiation treatments to my right lung.

After the radiation treatments I had to take chemo
treatments. This was something I hope that I don't
ever have to do again. I will tell you that this was
a rough treatment. My legs, both of them from the
knees down to the bottom of my toes hurt so bad
I could not hardly stand it. Lost a lot of weight and
my hair fell out during this time. About three months
after the chemo treatment I started gaining my weight
back and my hair started growing back again.

I had a pet scan about 4 month ago and it didn't
show the cancer spreading anywhere else in my
body. This was a blessing, and I know that with
all the prayers that God has healed me from this
cancer. I give him all the praise and glory. I know
the doctors did all they could for me and I thank
them for that, but I give the real thanks to my
Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I have to walk with a cane, but that is ok, I still
have my leg and I am alive and doing well. I still
have some pain in my leg around the knee and
where they operated to remove the tumor, but
I am thankful and blessed to be here today.

Now, getting back to the year 2011, I want to wish
all of you and your family a Happy New Year and
may God Bless and take care of you all.
