While the prospect of joining a profitable MLM network marketing opportunity may sound delicious, the enterprising and wise individual would be wise to learn how to separate the good opportunities from the bad ones. There are both types out there on the internet. The good ones could have you rolling in dough by the end of the year. The bad ones will take your money and leave you flailing in the wind with an empty wallet and bad taste in your mouth. If so, you might have found a good business to work for. You always have to be cautious, of course, when taking the word of others. Part of any MLM company is getting people to join. By this fact, it may be hard to get the real inside scoop on the company in question. This is why it’s better to talk to someone you trust implicitly than a causal acquaintance who might fudge some details in order to get that important referral.
Another important way to distinguish the good MLM companies from the bad ones is to take a close look at their business model. By talking to representatives of the company and even looking at the structure given to you by the company itself, you should be able to discern where the company makes the majority of its profits. Is the company offering a higher commission on getting referrals than it does on the products they want you to sell? If so, this is a bad sign. This means that most, if not all, of the company’s money comes from people signing up to join the company. This is no good, and one of the main hallmarks of a pyramid scheme. On the other hand, if the reward for bringing new people into the fold is secondary to the commission for selling the products, the company is more likely a legitimate enterprise.
As long as you keep that profit formula in mind and try to find out as much about a company as possible before joining, the chances are much greater that you will find a good network opportunity and not have to worry about being scammed.
